We ended up here for a little date night for my birthday - my man knows sushi is my biggest Kryptonite. I'm not the pickiest person when it comes to sushi, but bad sushi always makes for a bad day - but you won't find that in this place!
Most places I know don't season their rice - which is their biggest downfall of all, which is why I was so happy when I ate their sushi!! Really good blend too, just tangy enough and you could tell they used good kinda Japanese rice. Fish quality was superb, and the takoyaki was really good as well!
Takoyaki was just nicely crisp on the outside, and the insides nice, soft, and fluffy. Octopus wasn't too chewy, which I loved. We also had that crazy stack that had spicy tuna, mashed avocados, kani - drizzled with eel sauce and spicy mayo and everything lovely. Now that, that's a masterpiece.
Service was wonderful, and we definitely enjoyed date night here! We'll be back for sure!! -

Tokyo is by far my favorite Japanese restaurant in Oklahoma. We, our entire family, have been regulars for over 10 years.
The service is fantastic. Customers are always greeted by a warm welcome from all of the staff and with a thank you on the way out.
Although the menu has a vast selection, quality is not sacrificed. Often times, I find that restaurants that specialize in food (such as sushi) sacrifice the taste of other items on the menu such as udon. However, this is not the case at Tokyo. My personal favorites are Chirashi Sushi and Tempura Ice Cream. Another thing to mention is that the Chirashi Sushi usually comes with bigger slices of sashimi.
I highly recommend Tokyo if you are looking for Japanese cuisine. -

This place has a very quaint atmosphere. The sushi is some of the freshest I have tasted. The price point is very good for the product. They have yummy green tea ice cream too!

Tokyo is easily the best sushi restaurant in OKC. They have a huge and well executed menu that offers high grade fish selections when in stock, like blue fin tuna. The monthly special was grilled fatty tuna or "Toro," which I highly recommend. My favorite roll was the C4 Roll. It comes with ponsu sauce. Even their miso soup and traditional rolls, like the California roll, stand out above the rest.
One of the most spectacular aspects of Tokyo is the service. The servers are attentive and friendly. They say hello and goodbye in Japanese as you come in and leave. I wouldn't go anywhere else for sushi in OKC. -

They have an extremely small wine list. Only 3 reds. Oh well, it's not a wine bar.
I ordered the Blue Fin Toro and the Sable Fish. The Sable Fish is lightly seared and is a lovely, fatty fish. There is a buttery taste. Absolutely lovely. The Blue Fin Toro is equally amazing.
I also ordered the vegetable tempura. I think it should have been cooked a little longer and the breading peeled off. The sauce that goes with the tempura is quite good.
Honestly, the fish is 5 stars. But the tempura abs lack of wine choices keep the overall numbers down.
